My CV

I studied Art in York and Sheffield after nineteen years teaching History in England and abroad.

I live in York and paint in North Yorkshire. I also go on painting field trips abroad. My favourite spots are quiet and fairly isolated like the Yorkshire Wolds.

2017

Selected for the Ferens Art Gallery Open exhibition, Hull City of Culture

2016

Two paintings short listed for the Royal Academy Open exhibition, London; one of which was Selected but not Hung.

2015

Selected for the Society of Women Artists Annual Exhibition, The Mall Galleries, London.

Artist in Residence, A Yorkshire Wolds Community Archaeological Dig in partnership with Historic England.

2013

My first international exhibition in York Gallery, Ghent, Belgium.

I provided the historical research for an exhibition held in the library of Sledmere House with fellow plein air painter Malcolm Ludvigsen.
